Aviation Strategies International, administrator of the Global ACI-ICAO Airport Management Professional Accreditation Programme (AMPAP), announced that it has anchored a long-term training commitment with Abu Dhabi’s Gulf Center for Aviation Studies (GCAS).

Remarking on the announcement, AMPAP Executive, Dr. Pierre Coutu stated: “GCAS has earmarked a record-number of its managers for AMPAP and we are proud to provide them with our Programme’s best-of-class curriculum. With the rapid expansion of the region’s airport infrastructure, there is a growing demand for highly-qualified management resources and our collaboration with GCAS is a strong testament to their commitment to top-notch, accreditation-based executive development.”

Dr. Othman Al khouri, Deputy General Manager, GCAS, said: “Since the centre was founded in 2008, it has been our mission to offer world class training options from our home base in Abu Dhabi and hosting such high profile programmes as the AMPAP allows us to spearhead the advancement and professionalism of our industry in the Middle East. We look forward to hosting the AMPAP program and to welcoming ADAC and worldwide airport executives in November.”

AMPAP will conduct a first course at the GCAS’ state-of-the-art training facility from November 7 to 11, 2010. This will mark the 25th worldwide delivery of the Programme Gateway Course, Air Transport System. Since AMPAP’s debut in 2007, the Programme has attracted hundreds of participants from across the globe many of which have already earned the coveted International Airport Professional (IAP) designation.
